To host a webinar that actually serves a purpose, you need three decisions: show your screen instead of talking, remind the people who signed up, and follow up afterwards.<\/strong> The rest is logistics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ten days ago, we debriefed an in-person talk in front of twenty-two business owners. Then we prepared our next webinar and changed one essential thing. Here is what, and why.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Host a webinar: the number that calms you down right away<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When you decide to host a webinar, first remember one number: one third of registrants show up. No more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the 2025 Goldcast B2B webinar benchmark report<\/a>, the average attendance rate is 33% of registrants. In other words, out of thirty people who signed up, you will see ten. That is not a failure, it is the norm. So everything you do before the session should push that third up, and everything you do after should win back the other two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It also changes the way you count. A webinar with ten attendees and twenty absentees who get the replay and a follow-up is thirty possible conversations, not ten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Host a webinar around your screen, not your slides<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To host a webinar people remember, we decided to share our screen for at least half of the session. No more slides that explain: the tool, live, doing the work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The trigger came from the in-person talk. The moments that got a reaction were not our explanations. Instead, it was when two clients described what had changed for them, with numbers. Concrete, lived, verifiable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So on a video call, concrete means the screen. Show a follow-up going out on its own, then the contact being created. Also show the mistake you fix live, because that is what makes it credible. A demo that works too well looks like an ad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before the session: the reminders that fill the room<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When you host a webinar, you are mostly organizing reminders. Without them, the third becomes a fifth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
